I have always been fascinated with photography! From my first camera, when I was twelve, to the Nikon D7000 I currently own, each has been just as exciting. Just the challenge of learning how each worked, how the settings impacted the end result, and the feel of the camera in your hand.
First photography was a hobby, then a business, and after I retired, a hobby again. I thought cameras were a wonder when I was twelve, and they were. However, today with the digital cameras and the computer software the sky is really the limit. If you can see it in your mind's eye you can make it happen.
Effects that would take half a day to accomplish in a wet darkroom can be done in a matter of minutes with a computer and a software program leaving more time to be in the field.
Standing on the rim of Bryce Canyon at 10,000 feet watching section after section began to glow as the rising sun illuminates one after another makes my pulse run faster knowing that I have a digital capture. Then comes that final moment, after I have the print on display, that someone will say, "I love that print and I want to buy it."
